God gave Joseph the grace to forgive those who had betrayed him and to take his situation to use it for good even for those who had cause him suffering.(cf Genesis 45)

“All this multitude, too, shall learn that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves. For the battle belongs to the LORD…” 1 Samuel 17:47 ...Let us hold on to Mary our Mother, who witnessed and lived the same battle of good vs. evil in Her life, firsthand experiencing the blessings and pains of the gift of free will, living a life of sacrifice and love, not returning evil for evil but with God’s grace, turning evil to good.

As we enter these 40 days of prayer and fasting, following Jesus into the desert, let us offer our sacrifices united with His ultimate sacrifice on the Cross, for conversion of hearts starting with our own, for peace in the world and for protection of all those suffering in war-torn Ukraine.
